The Dermaroller-Concept
The Lamelle Dermaroller-Concept

  The Dermaroller-Concept?

Documented from the times of ancient Egypt, mankind has continually looked for ways to improve the appearance of the skin. Signs of ageing due to excessive sun exposure, acne scars, surgical scars and wrinkles impact our appearance and as such we strive to find more effective means to address this.

Current treatment (creams or facial treatments) often face the problem of poor penetration of ingredients into the skin and occasionally prolonged recovery time for more effective, yet, aggressive treatments. A range of Dermaroller devices is available to assist and address these two challenges.

The Dermaroller devices are German patented devices whose efficacy had been proven by scientific studies at universities and medical schools all over the world.

The Dermaroller-Concept is based on two components:

A. The cosmetic Dermaroller for increased penetration of active substances into the skin (transdermal delivery). This device is used at home by yourself or by your skin therapist using highly concentrated collagen stimulating serums.

B. The medical Dermaroller for Collagen Induction Thereapy is performed by medical doctors.

Undoubtedly the Dermaroller is a highly efficient device for transdermal delivery, and an almost side-effect free concept for skin (facial and non facial) rejuvenation.

The cosmetic Dermaroller is studded with 192 extremely fine needles. The short needles (0.15mm) only push the upper layer aside and do not puncture the dermis. The needles transport the active substances on the surface through the epidermal barrier into deeper skin layers. This is necessary because less than 1% of topically applied product/creams actually reaches the deeper parts of the skin.

  Collagen-Inductin-Therapy (CIT):

In 2006 a German plastic surgeon proved in an internationally published blinded study that the Dermaroller, studded with needles ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 mm in length, induces body-own new collagen formation between 200 and 1, 000%. The skin is first numbed with a topical local anaesthetic cream. The out-patient procedure lasts for only about 1 hour.

  Advantages of CIT?

Down time : Minimal
The epidermis stays intact
Sun sensitivity : None
Visible results : After 6 - 8 weeks
Risk of Infections : Never reported
Procedure time : Average 1 hour
Skin redness, mild swelling : 1 - 3 days
Non-ablative technique, the skin becomes thicker
No post-op pain, no scares, no pigment problems

Before treatment with Collagen-Induction-Therapy (CIT): Crows feet before and after
Before treatment with Collagen-Induction-Therapy (CIT): Acne Scars before and after
Before treatment with Collagen-Induction-Therapy (CIT): After only one CIT : before and after
