  How does Ellipse treatment work?

The Ellipse wrinkle reduction treatment is a two step procedure:

1. First the skin is sprayed with Intense by Ellipse Photo Spray every 5 minutes for 1 hour. This spray acts as a photosensitiser, making your skin more receptive to the light and reducing wrinkles by collagen stimulation.
2. After spraying, a transparent water based gel (similar to that used in ultrasound examinations) is applied to your face. The Ellipse operator guides the visible light from the flash lamp to your face going over the area 3 times.

The skin cells convert the active ingredient in the Photo Spray into a pigment called "protoporphyrin IX" which is red in colour. The red colour absorbs the light and triggers a chemical reaction in the cells that triggers the cell to produce more collagen which eventually will lead to a reduction in wrinkles.

  How do I use the Photo Spray?

Prior to treatment, you will see a video that teaches you to use the Photo Spray correctly. Apply a generous amount all over your face every 15 minutes (you wil be given an alarm clock to remind you). After spraying, you rub it well into your face also near the upper and lower eyelids and mouth.
